When most of us think about physiotherapy in sport and exercise, rehabilitation is often the first thing that comes to mind- helping patients with injuries and guiding athletes or active individuals back to full function.


But what if we could prevent those injuries from happening in the first place? That’s where prehabilitation comes in.


Prehabilitation, or "prehab," is a proactive approach that prepares the body for the physical demands of sport and exercise, reducing the risk of injury before it occurs. As physiotherapists, we have seen how crucial this can be in enhancing performance and preventing interruptions in training due to injury.
